Remembrance Day
Originally known as Armistice Day, the observance was renamed Remembrance Day in Canada in 1931 to recognize those who served and died in all wars and military operations.
Its meaning has continued to develop as Canadians remember the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War, peacekeeping missions, and more recent deployments.
In 2026, Remembrance Day falls on Wednesday, November 11, providing an opportunity for communities, schools, veterans’ organizations, and families to reflect on military service, the costs of war, and the importance of peace.
Orangeville Legion Golf Tournament September 2026
A Huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support the Orangeville Legion for our annual golf tournament on Saturday, September 12th! ⛳☀️
With 15 teams and 57 players hitting the course, perfect weather, and an incredible atmosphere, the day was a massive success.
